Tri-County - Rock recap September 17, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Anthony Williams and Jalen Canty connected against Jefferson. The connection went for 65 yards, the longest such play in Tri-County - Rock this season.
St. Mary's scaled the state rankings by moving to 463 from 641 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Archbishop Riordan 49-7.
Vince Volpatti was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 144 yards as Valley Christian defeated the Indians. Isaiah Harris also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.
Jax Cuddihy threw for 145 yards and 59 touchdowns.
Cuddihy put up the best numbers through the air as Berean Christian topped Cloverdale.
Terrell was the best wideout in Tri-County - Rock this week as the Bruins bested Jefferson. Terrell racked up 5 receptions for 170 yards. Marcus Oducado helped St. Patrick-St. Vincent's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 94 yards.
Williams was a passing and rushing force as St. Patrick-St. Vincent beat Cesar Vega's team. He completed 15 passes for 478 yards and 6 touchdowns and also ran for 19 yards.
Brennan Marion's team's Williams and Terrell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Williams has thrown for 830 yards this season, while Terrell has 6 catches for 171 yards. The Vikings' Volpatti leads the league in rushing yards with 313.
The Bruins took down the Indians 63-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Williams in the win.
