After a string of three wins, the Norview Pilots's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They took a  51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deep Creek. While losing is never fun, Norview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 59th, while Deep Creek is ranked fourth).
 When it comes to explaining why Norview lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Kiyah Fitchett. Despite the final result, she  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Fitchett  pulled down eight or more   rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Jazmin Smith, who  scored four points along with seven  rebounds.
 Norview's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Deep Creek, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
 Norview will head out on the road to  face off against  Lake Taylor at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Deep Creek, they will take on John Marshall at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday.
