The Center Roughriders entered their tilt with the Chapel Hill Bulldogs with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Center walked away with a 50-41 win over Chapel Hill on Tuesday. For Center, this counts as revenge for the 57-52 loss Chapel Hill walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Lanaijha Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 21 rebounds. Johnson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Ciara Jones was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Center pushed their record up to 19-7 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Spring Hill the next time they take the court. Center will head out to face Spring Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Chapel Hill will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
