Nokomis can  bid farewell to their nine-match losing streak thanks to their match  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Maranacook Black Bears with a sharp  3-0 win. The Warriors not only won  on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win  since September 15th (when they won  3-0).
 Nokomis never let Maranacook on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12,  26-24.
 Ashlyn Bowie paced Nokomis' offense, picking up 11 kills. Bowie got some help from  Rayonna White and her 12 assists.  Beth Parker controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Nokomis' victory bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Maranacook,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-7.
As of now, neither Nokomis nor the Black Bears have any future games scheduled.
