The King's Way Christian Knights and the Willapa Valley Vikings will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at. King's Way Christian is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Wednesday, King's Way Christian ended up a good deal behind Tenino and lost 64-48. While losing is never fun, King's Way Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Tenino is ranked 114th).
Meanwhile, Willapa Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. The game between Willapa Valley and Raymond wasn't particularly close, with Willapa Valley falling 72-53.
Despite the loss, Willapa Valley saw an underclassman step up: Blane King scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. King continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Fluke, who scored eight points along with ten assists and six rebounds.
King's Way Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Willapa Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
