Janiya Cockerham put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cockerham was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Samone Burdine made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Ainsley Martin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Itawamba Agricultural's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Amory, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
