The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Chattanooga Prep will arrive with three straight wins.
Back in December of 2023, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts came up short against Loudon and fell 56-43.
Chattanooga Prep only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 29-point they dealt Tyner Academy on Friday. Chattanooga Prep blew past Tyner Academy 67-38 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Chattanooga Prep considering their two-point performance the match before.
Chattanooga Prep can attribute much of their success to Ta'Suade Williams, who scored 16 points, and Derrick Roberson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Eli Gaines was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Chattanooga Prep, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5.
