The Granville/Whitehall Golden Horde fell victim to the Fonda-Fultonville Braves''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Braves on the road and fell 41-0. While losing is never fun, Granville/Whitehall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Fonda-Fultonville is ranked 104th).
Keegan Croucher was a one-man wrecking crew for Fonda-Fultonville as he threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. Karsen Bulan also helped out with an impressive 137 receiving yards.
Granville/Whitehall are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.5 points per game. As for Fonda-Fultonville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-1.
Granville/Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fonda-Fultonville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hoosick Falls/Tamarac at 6:45 p.m. Hoosick Falls/Tamarac is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
