Alchesay has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Winslow Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Alchesay pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monument Valley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (61), Alchesay still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Winslow beat Payson 48-39 on Friday.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jaci Gonnie and Lizzy White. Gonnie had a solid game and scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, White did her best for the losing side, scoring seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Alchesay has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. As for Winslow, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-18.
Everything went Alchesay's way against Winslow in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as Alchesay made off with a 56-32 victory. Will Alchesay repeat their success, or does Winslow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
