Basketball Recap: Chloe Ferber Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

St. Andrew's Episcopal won the last time they faced Georgetown Day and things went their way on Thursday too. The St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions were the clear victor by a 53-29 margin over the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers. With the Lions ahead 30-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Ferber led the charge by putting up nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ferber a new career-high in points. Anna Beth Tsai-Turton was another key player, posting nine points and seven boards.

Kesi McDuffie and Lindsay Fuzesi certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McDuffie posted 11 points and six rebounds, while Fuzesi put up three points and seven boards. McDuffie is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

St. Andrew's Episcopal has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Georgetown Day, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

St. Andrew's Episcopal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-37 defeat against Maret on the 21st. Georgetown Day has also already played their next matchup, a 56-48 victory against Connelly School of the Holy Child on the 21st.
