The Overbrook Panthers lost against the Executive Education Academy Charter School Raptors back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Overbrook lost to Executive Education Academy Charter School on the road by a decisive 59-45 margin. While losing is never fun, Overbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Executive Education Academy Charter School is ranked 36th).
Overbrook's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omar Davis, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Davis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nasir Kelly, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Overbrook has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Executive Education Academy Charter School, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Overbrook will be playing in front of their home fans against Math Civics & Sciences at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Math Civics & Sciences is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Executive Education Academy Charter School, they will square off against Sankofa Freedom Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sankofa Freedom Academy is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
