The Woodgrove Wolverines had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They managed a 59-54 win over Tuscarora. For Woodgrove, this counts as revenge for the 65-35 defeat Tuscarora walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Woodgrove's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Fuller, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Woodgrove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Tuscarora, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
