Baseball Recap: Pueblo Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pueblo can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Cienega Bobcats 13-11. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Bobcats on Tuesday, they had to take a 14-11 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Omar Soto, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Arian Roman, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pueblo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.9 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 8.8.

Pueblo's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-16. As for Cienega, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14-1.
