The Lake Worth Bullfrogs will square off against the China Spring Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Worth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 721st, while China Spring is ranked 115th).
Last Thursday, Lake Worth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-24 to Eastern Hills. Lake Worth has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Damion Hopkins put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 158 yards while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also caught two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even though Life Waxahachie scored an imposing 51 points two weeks ago, China Spring still came out on top. China Spring enjoyed a cozy 68-51 victory over Life Waxahachie. China Spring pushed the score to 55-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Life Waxahachie cut but never quite recovered from.
Lake Worth's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for China Spring, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Lake Worth took a serious blow against China Spring in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 41-7. Can Lake Worth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
