The Idea Academy Titans can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They breezed by Vanguard Academy Beethoven on the road to the tune of 47-4. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-1.
Layla Perez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 steals. Perez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Juliza Lopez, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
Idea Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Vanguard Academy Beethoven, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Idea Academy will head out on the road to challenge IDEA North Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vanguard Academy Beethoven does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
