The Adams County Christian Rebels will be playing at home against the St. Aloysius Flashes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Adams County Christian put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They came out on top against Wilkinson County Christian Academy by a score of 14-9. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.
The team relied heavily on Coleman Carter, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Givens, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Aloysius, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in February. They never let Greenville get on the board and left with a 13-0 win last Wednesday. The Flashes not only won last Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2024.
Max Hargrave looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Carson Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadler Lambiotte, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
St. Aloysius always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Adams County Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for St. Aloysius, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
