Willow Glen has gone a perfect 5-0 against Santa Teresa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams will welcome the Saints at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Willow Glen has 20 straight wins, Santa Teresa has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Willow Glen was able to grind out a solid victory over Hollister, taking the game 6-3.
Alanna Clincy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katelynn Dilbeck, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cianna Miranda, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
Willow Glen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Santa Teresa scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Westmont by a score of 14-12. That's two games in a row now that the Saints have lost by exactly two runs.
Amaya Williams led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Aubrey Wasson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Santa Teresa's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Willow Glen, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-0.
Santa Teresa's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Willow Glen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Santa Teresa, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Willow Glen keep running through batters, or will the Saints buck the trend?
