The Greenwood Christian Hawks lost against the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Greenwood Christian received a tough blow as they fell 39-21 to Northside Christian Academy. Greenwood Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northside Christian Academy was led to victory by Maddie Coker and Campbell Childers. Coker scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five steals, while Childers scored seven points along with seven steals and six assists. Childers is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Riah Beckwith, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Greenwood Christian now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Northside Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.
Greenwood Christian will challenge Oakbrook Prep at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Oakbrook Prep is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Northside Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Palmetto Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Palmetto Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday.
