Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Spanish River Sharks, falling 15-8. Even though they lost, the Wolverines' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Trevor King made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Thomas Lograsso, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Spanish River, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington will take on Park Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Spanish River, they will square off against West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
