In what's become a running theme this season, the Gilbert Indians gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Swansea 58-31 at home. The win was familiar territory for Gilbert who now have three in a row.
Gilbert's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ahleira Leaphart led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Leaphart hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Blythe Price was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Gilbert's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Swansea, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Gilbert will take on Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Gilbert's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Swansea does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
