Meanwhile, if Brethren Christian were riding high off their 36-6 takedown of Lutheran two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Brethren Christian were completely outmatched, falling 0-44 to Avalon. Brethren Christian were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-38.
Calvary Chapel's win lifted them to 1-0 while Brethren Christian's loss dropped them down to 1-3. We'll find out if Calvary Chapel can add another positive mark to their record or if Brethren Christian can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Calvary Chapel's step.
