The Meade Buffaloes lost against the Bucklin Red Aces back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Meade fell 55-47 to Bucklin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Meade in their matchups with Bucklin: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dallas Sherman, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sherman is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Carlie Martin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bucklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sydnie Jones, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Karlee Evans, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meade's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bucklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Meade will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sublette at 6:00 p.m. As for Bucklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Ingalls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
