Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Belaire should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will take on Live Oak at 7:00 PM. Belaire come in off of five low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for Belaire, and their game last Thursday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-56 to Walker. Belaire were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
Meanwhile, Live Oak found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-37 punch to the gut against Scotlandville last Friday. Live Oak were down by 0-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
