A Season-Best Effort from Shain Meador Leads Mt. Carmel over Marshall
Shain Meador produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mt. Carmel to the win on Friday. Meador rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 59 yards and a touchdown on perfect 5-for-5 passing, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win got Mt. Carmel back to even at 4-4. Meador and Mt. Carmel will venture away from home to challenge Lawrenceville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Gavyn Cothern Goes Supernova in Richland County Victory
Gavyn Cothern was instrumental in extending Richland County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Cothern turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.
Richland County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Cothern and Richland County will take on Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Johnson As Robinson Won 44-40
Robinson picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Reese Johnson. Nobody could stop Johnson as he threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards.
Johnson is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Richland County on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Johnson saw the Tigers), he threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
