Warrensburg has gone a perfect 7-0 against North Warren Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Burgers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Warrensburg will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
While Warrensburg's victory against Whitehall wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Burgers skirted past the Railroaders 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Burgers have posted since May 18, 2024.
Louis Lang spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paul Moore, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, North Warren Central was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salem. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
North Warren Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Jennings, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Warrensburg's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Warren Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Warrensburg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North Warren Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Warrensburg took their victory against North Warren Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Burgers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
