Football Recap: Stuart Piles Up the Points Against Meridian

It's playoff time, and Stuart had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Meridian Mustangs 47-7. Considering the Broncos have won eight contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Stuart's victory came down to the chemistry between Kayde Ramm and his top target Owen Littau. Ramm rushed for 75 yards and three scores while Littau rushed for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Ramm has posted since back in October of 2024. Drew Schmaderer made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Stuart was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 310 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Stuart didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Schmaderer picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. Stuart received some extra help from Littau, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Stuart's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Meridian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Stuart will host Leyton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
