Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Aubrey's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Aubrey was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ranchview on Monday. The Chaparrals never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chaparrals, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Nobody will forget Molly Reid's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Ranchview's batters): she turned in a perfect game.

At the plate, Sophia Mulhern and Claire Rose did most of the damage at the plate: Mulhern scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Rose went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Rose has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Abby Lynch-Buxton, who scored three runs while going 1-for-1.

Aubrey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Aubrey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Ranchview, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Aubrey beat the Wolves by a score of 18-0 later that day.
