Volleyball Recap: Northwest Gets the Win

Northwest had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Beatrice Orangemen by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Ava Janulewicz paced Northwest's offense, picking up seven kills. Janulewicz got some help from Kenna Bowman and her 18 assists. Bowman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Beatrice's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Northwest and Beatrice will both be playing Lincoln Northeast the next time they take the court. The Orangemen will head out to face the Rockets at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
