Given Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 127th in South Carolina, while Coastal HomeSchool is ranked 413th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Caroline Mcgee continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Mcgee is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Rylan Dundon was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 17 rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Greenville H came tearing into Friday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 60-13 victory over Bob Jones Academy. Greenville H has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Greenville H can attribute much of their success to Opal Maralit, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and seven assists, and Keely Price, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Maralit is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Hendley, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Greenville H, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 38.9 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Greenville H, though, as they've been averaging only 33.1 rebounds per game. Given Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' sizeable advantage in that area, Greenville H will need to find a way to close that gap.
