The Brethren Bobcats posted their biggest win since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grand Traverse Academy 64-36 on the road. Brethren has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Dennis, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dennis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Wilkins, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Brethren and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Grand Traverse Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brethren will take on Pentwater at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Pentwater is ranked 394th, while Brethren is ranked 416th). As for Grand Traverse Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Central Lake at 7:00 p.m. Central Lake is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
