Layton Christian Academy (Layton, Utah) saw its nine-point lead shrink to two, but hung on to beat
North Sevier (Salina, Utah) 9-7 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Ilari Laine in the second quarter, the Eagles led 3-0 at the half.
Layton Christian Academy grew its lead to nine points entering the fourth quarter. LCA scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Markiece Gross.
North Sevier's only touchdown came on a 24-yard run by
Marshall Roundy in the fourth quarter.
With the win the Layton school extended its winning streak to four games.
