If South Whidbey was riding high off their 42-14 takedown of Granite Falls last week, that ride came to an abrupt end. South Whidbey fell to King's 28-18. The result was a vexing reminder to the Falcons of the 30-13 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head Oct. 26.
South Whidbey's loss pushes them down to 6-3. The victory (their third in a row) raised King's' record to 4-5. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
