The University Trailblazers will head out on the road to square off against the Heritage Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (University is ranked 165th, while Heritage Christian is ranked 158th).
University's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 50-42 to Lapel.
Despite the loss, University saw an underclassman step up: Charlotte Conyers scored 15 points along with four steals. Conyers has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Anyah Jordan-Turley was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Heritage Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 77-32 defeat at the hands of Center Grove. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heritage Christian has scored all season.
University now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Heritage Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.
University was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 74-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for University since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
