A Season-Best Effort from Jett Taylor Leads Grand Saline over Edgewood
Jett Taylor produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Grand Saline to the win on Friday. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 184 rushing yards dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
The win for Grand Saline keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Taylor and Grand Saline will square off against Chisum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colt Boyd's big game helped extend Grand Saline's winning streak to six on Friday. Boyd's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Quitman Gets a Boost from Meadows in 28-25 Victory
Klayton Meadows continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 101 rushing yards. He rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 160 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes.
For the season, Meadows has thrown 3 touchdowns while averaging 117.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 0.2 passing yards per game.

Lucas Pippin Delivers Electric Performance Vs Grand Saline
Edgewood had to settle for second on Friday, but Lucas Pippin sure wasn't going down easily. Pippin was unstoppable, rushing for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.
Edgewood moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Pippin and Edgewood will face off against Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Corbin Johnson Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Lone Oak got the W thanks in part to Corbin Johnson playing the best football he has all season. Johnson picked up 152 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 50 yards.
The win for Lone Oak keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Johnson and Lone Oak will challenge Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
