The Kearney Catholic Stars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 38-31 to Scotus. Kearney Catholic has not had much luck with the Shamrocks recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Kearney Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rylie O'Hare, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points O'Hare has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tessa Colling, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Kearney Catholic's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for Scotus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Kearney Catholic will be playing at home against the Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Scotus, they will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Norfolk Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
