The Burgin Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bluegrass United Bluehawks at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Burgin came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Model last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, even though Thomas Nelson scored an imposing 70 points on Tuesday, Bluegrass United still came out on top. Bluegrass United snuck past the Generals with a 74-70 victory. The victory was just what Bluegrass United needed coming off of a 67-47 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bluegrass United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Burnett, who scored 26 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Stiefel, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Burgin's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Bluegrass United, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-12.
