Southside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Latreyveon Davis out in front who threw for 324 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 102 yards on only eight carries. Derick Smith also helped out as he racked up 125 receiving yards.
Southside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bayside Academy only rushed for 126.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Southside's defense and their ten sacks. Smith led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Javien Gipson also set a new season high mark in total tackles with eight.
Southside's record now sits at 11-2. As for Bayside Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Southside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-28 loss against Houston Academy on the 29th. Bayside Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
