The Hamilton Wildcats lost against the Ridgeway Roadrunners back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hamilton suffered a rough 75-53 defeat at the hands of Ridgeway. Hamilton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Timothy Matthews, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Devan McGee was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Hamilton's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-9. As for Ridgeway, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Hamilton is on the road again on Thursday and play against Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Ridgeway, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Kirby at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Kirby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Ridgeway is ranked 22nd).
