If the Edison Red Raiders were feeling good off their 49-13 takedown of the Carol City Chiefs last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Edison took a serious blow against North Miami Beach on Monday, falling 49-21. Edison lost against North Miami Beach in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 1-0 score last time.
North Miami Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Laila Henderson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Henderson has scored at least 25% of North Miami Beach's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yoshaney Cayaso, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for North Miami Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Edison has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Killian at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for North Miami Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against Carol City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
