Even though the Summit Tigers scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, the Eagle Valley Devils still came out on top. Eagle Valley slipped by Summit 36-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eagle Valley.
Eagle Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keaden Lake led the charge by picking up 124 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 49 yards and a touchdown on only two passes. Kevin Hasley also helped out with an impressive 140 receiving yards.
When it comes to explaining why Summit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Archambault. Despite the final result, he rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 100 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hank Chabot, who threw for 269 yards and a touchdown.
Eagle Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Summit, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Eagle Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summit also has no future games currently scheduled.
