Adding to the longest winning streak in 6-Man West (6 Man) this week, Sioux County beat Arcadia 30-18. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Warriors.
Wauneta-Palisade lost to Silver Lake 51-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jace Walther was a key player and the best on defense this week as Maywood topped St. Edward. The 5-foot-10 sophomore recorded 1 fumble.
Jericho Vieyra provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers beat the Beavers. He completed 5 passes for 97 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 289 yards. Vieyra's key target this week was Jacob Dibbern, who caught 2 passes for 34 yards.
Travis Hoover was a beast in the backfield as Hyannis bested Elkhorn Valley.
Garrett Ellis was the best receiver in the league this week as Sioux County defeated the Huskies. Ellis racked up 7 receptions for 120 yards. Kyle Westover helped Sioux County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 35 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Barry Swisher's team's Nathan Woodrum and Ellis have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Woodrum has thrown for 1,329 yards this season, while Ellis has 37 catches for 692 yards. Hoover from the Longhorns leads the league in rushing with 1,795 yards.
Minatare's Javier Guerrero needs only 35 yards against the Warriors next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Guerrero has rushed for 965 yards on 97 carries so far this year.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Sioux County's Ellis goes up against the Indians' Yovan Perez.
Next week's game between the Warriors and Minatare will feature an aerial matchup as Woodrum tests his arm against Perez's defensive ability.
