Having just played yesterday, the Park Rapids Panthers will get right back to it and host the Frazee Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Park Rapids knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Frazee likes a good challenge.
Park Rapids stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 86-57 win over Staples-Motley. The victory was just what Park Rapids needed coming off of a 79-56 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Park Rapids to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Morris, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Morris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Larson, who scored 18 points.
Frazee lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 78-53 defeat to Pelican Rapids might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Frazee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Pelican Rapids is ranked 63rd).
Park Rapids has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Frazee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.
Park Rapids came up short against Frazee in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 62-58. Will Park Rapids have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
