Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Carsrud, who rushed for 97 yards and one score on only seven carries. Carsrud got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards. Landon Sanford also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.
It was another big night for Carson Sloan, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of TDs for San Clemente. Sloan is becoming a predictor of the Tritons' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
