Basketball Recap: Statesville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Statesville had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Saniah Davidson didn't let it get to seven. The Statesville Greyhounds simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the West Iredell Warriors 56-26 thanks in part to Davidson, who went 6 for 15 en route to 13 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Symerria Harris, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.

Statesville's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for West Iredell, their defeat was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Statesville will head out to face off against North Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Statesville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Iredell, they are taking a road trip to take on Hickory at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
