After each having a week off, the Desert Mountain Wolves and the Centennial Coyotes will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Desert Mountain is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Two weeks ago, Desert Mountain faced Notre Dame Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Desert Mountain came out on top against Notre Dame Prep by a score of 28-21. The victory was just what Desert Mountain needed coming off of a 58-21 defeat in their prior match.
Desert Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Mcdonough led the charge by rushing for 109 yards on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Cameron Terry and his 84 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Desert Mountain's victory.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Centennial's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They lost to Liberty on the road by a decisive 36-17 margin. Centennial has not had much luck with Liberty recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
With Desert Mountain's win and Centennial's defeat, both teams now sport identical 9-1 records.
