On Friday Jefferson take on Hempstead at 7:00 PM. Jefferson are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Jefferson took a serious blow against Prairie last Friday, falling 6-41. This makes it the second loss in a row for Jefferson.
Meanwhile, Hempstead took an ego-bruising defeat against Prairie two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Hempstead got past Dubuque Senior with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 26-20. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Hempstead as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Hempstead's win lifted them to 2-5 while Jefferson's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. We'll find out if Hempstead can add another positive mark to their record or if Jefferson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Hempstead's step.
