The Thales Academy Rolesville Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Thales Academy Rolesville got the win against Friendship Christian by a conclusive 15-4.
Chase Davidson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Wake Christian Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Thales Academy Rolesville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wake Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
