The John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 68-41 loss at the hands of Wenonah. John Carroll Catholic has struggled against Wenonah recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Wenonah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Samarian Franklin out in front who scored 29 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Franklin has scored at least a third of Wenonah's points. Another player making a difference was Jakerria Ringstaff, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 11 assists, and ten steals.
John Carroll Catholic has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Wenonah, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6.
John Carroll Catholic will head out on the road to take on Calera at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wenonah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Grove is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
