Otis is 8-2 against Peetz since April of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday.  Last Wednesday, Otis was able to grind out a solid  win over Caliche, taking the game  6-3. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Otis.
  Carter Wells was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.  Austin Hornung was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  stolen base.
 Meanwhile, Peetz pushed their score all the way to 14 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a  tough 24-14 defeat at the hands of Caliche.
  Rhyder Bayne was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He  struck out nine batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Bayne was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in four of his three plate appearances with two  doubles, a  stolen base,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Logan Vallier was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Aiden Hill, who  scored a  run and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Peetz  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 13  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caliche only tossed nine.
 Otis' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Peetz, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Otis took their  win against Peetz  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023 by a conclusive  24-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Otis since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
