Chaparral and Mountain Vista are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Chaparral Wolverines will be playing at home against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Devon Brown had a dynamite game for Chaparral, going 6-for-8 from beyond the arc to rack up 20 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in shooting accuracy (78%). Another player making a difference was Christian Williams, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 13 points.
Chaparral was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mountain Vista faced Ralston Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Mountain Vista came out on top against Ralston Valley by a score of 67-58. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Chaparral better focus on containing Oliver Junker and Cal Baskind as the pair were huge in Mountain Vista's win. Junker dropped a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds, while Baskind went 6-for-10 en route to 14 points and three steals. Baskind is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Hudson Rooney was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points.
Mountain Vista's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. As for Chaparral, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Chaparral has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 36.6% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Mountain Vista struggles in that department as they've made 38.2% of their three-pointers this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
